Random thoughts Seems like everybody & there mom is getting induced nowadays like the Dr's can't wait lol I got induced…

Right?! The doctor laughed, LAUGHED when I said I probably would carry to 42 wks. My mother did, my grandma did, the women in my family just do. In every civilized country but the US, 42wks is standard. He said "oh no, we don't do that anymore"

@gingyrex, it's crazy! I went to almost 42 weeks with my first & it's been proven alot has changed throughout the years! All Dr's want to do is induce it seems like everyone is getting induced

@teshahallxoxo55, everyone I know has been either getting induced or have an induction date set also. But I understand if it's medical, like in your case you know? But it seems like more & more people are inducing it's just nuts

@mrscolon, or get a c-section! I refuse to get one unless my life or my son's is in danger. The ruin your body, and its proven the babies aren't as healthy

@gingyrex, yes! I noticed that also! I mean I had an emergency c-section with my Angel baby last January in 2015 but it's cus his heart rate dropped suddenly & I'm having a repeat c-section in April for medical reasons but it's just crazy how things have changed

i had a c section with my 1st son 8 yrs ago and he was as healthy as can be.. im getting induced mon with this 1 cuz of my blood pressure

Every women is different and may have different reason for wanting to go the route of being induced . Times are different from back then. I feel like if the baby will still be happy do it the way you want to do it.. I got induced with my first and I want to get induced with the one I'm pregnant with now when that time comes lol.

@qamk, I've had a c-section & I'm having a repeat in April for medical reasons, & I understand getting induced & all for health & medical reasons but it seems like it's happening more & more feel me?

@mrscolon, I have no less respect for moms who need inductions or c-sections. Every mom IS different. I have an issue with a doctor pressuring me into a medical procedure I do not need.

Long as baby is healthy I don't mind inducing tho so (;

I was induced and had a c section, if that never happened my son wouldn't be here. but I hated getting induced because it made my contractions was worse than they should have been. it was super uncomfortable. 🙈

I was induced at 38 weeks, my bod wasn't ready for it. either was baby and with the forced contractions he got stuck and I wouldnt dilate past a four and his heart rate started dropping. it took them 16 hour to realize my son was in danger. being induced is no joke lol @mrscolon

@nichole_lynn, oh my! So sorry you had to go through that! Being induced is definitely no joke

I feel like sometimes its not safe because you're litteraly forcing your body to contract when its not ready.

I was almost 42 weeks along when the induced me, you're right the contractions were out of this world. I had to get an epidural because i was in so much pain. hoping this second time around baby will come naturally

@jessd1988, yes! The contractions you get when induced are killer 😕 I'm hoping you have your baby naturally! ☺

thanks, when looking back now I know that at that point I wanted to get the baby out of me but wish they would have let her come when she was ready
