How do I get my 7 week old puppy to stay in her own bed?? or do I need to get a crate? My husband put her in the bathroom and she literally cried all night. I'm trying to avoid letting her sleep in the bed because of the baby on the way... what do I do???

@myiakp, I definitely say crate if you can. To make the transition easier for the puppy you should set the crate up somewhere that you guys spend a lot of time. Put the puppy in there randomly for 15 minutes at a time. Try not to use it as punishment though because they will see it as a bad place rather than a comfy place for it to be.

mine has always slept in the utility room (washer dryer room) we have a baby gate blocking her area.
yours is a puppy so it'll take it a while to get used to it but wherever or however u do it just stick with it.
Patience with me isn't the problem.. it's my husbands... plus he needs his sleep at night cause he works from 7:30am to 6:30pm. @olliesmommy20
Yeah get a crate, my boyfriend got a puppy not too long ago & I went through the same thing! They will cry in the crate for a while until they get used to it, but once they learn that's where they sleep it will get better! I grew up raising puppies you gotta have a lot of patience with them. 😂😂
Over time it'll pass but she is crying because at that age they are still use to being with their mommy. You can try a pillow or blanket for extra comfort. Other than that you'll just have to wait. She will be okay though Lol. Don't want to start any habits that you don't want long term.......
I would get a crate. Google crate training. You can make a dog like their crate. Don't use it as a form of punishment but make it a safe comfy place for them
And giving a the pup a small treat every time they go in there is a way of saying its a good thing.
