I had a question mamas.... my daughter had her 4 month checkup yesterday... she was 12 pounds 11.6 ounces, she gained 2 pounds 2 ounces in 2 months.... my question is; do breastfed babies gain weight differently than formula fed?.... they said she was in the 14th percentile for weight but the Dr didn't seem concerned at all.... I don't remember how they are supposed to gain lol I was just happy my son gained since he was a premie lol

he had me start supplementing at a week old, because of her weight. once I was more educated on it, I found out that he jumped the gun a little bit.
I don't ask him questions about that, I found a lactation consultant.... I have learned doctors don't know as much about breastfeeding @aeb3
my daughter's ped is a tool. & took a large part in ruining mine & my daughter's already struggling breast feeding relationship.
yes, absolutely. it's completely normal for bf babies to gain weight slower than ff babies. & you're lucky to have a doctor that knows that.

My oldest son was breast and formula fed he weight 7.6 when he was born and gained weight very well but definitely not as well as my @almost 3 month old now. he had his 2 month check up and was 14 lbs but also he was 8.5 when he was born so I guess he'll just be a bigger baby..
my daughter lost at the hospital due to milk delay, but is 2 pounds 2 ounces in 2 months a normal weight gain? lol she seems pretty chubby lol I just worry
My son is formula fed and hasn't lost weight at all. Not even right after he was born. He weighed 7 lbs 15.5 oz at birth and at his 4 month check up he weighed 17 lbs 13 oz. He was in the 97th percentile for his height and weight though

Had my anatomy scan and genetics testing done today at 16 weeks, 4 days !! Baby girl is 6 ounces now and was kicking up a storm. I still ahvent gained or lost a pound yet!! Heartrate was 144 and she is healthy and for that, I'm thankful !! I love you scarlette jayde !!
Okay so my bff had her baby on January 30th, the baby was 7 pounds. When the baby turn 2 months he was 14 pounds. Now he's 3 months, my bf talking about he might be 20 pounds already smh lol. Yesterday I had a wic appt for dd2. She is 6 1/2 months and weighs 13 lbs. Is this too big? They told me she was over weight! Her pedi had me supplement bc she wasn't gaining anything. She had only gained 4oz in a month and a half. Now wic is saying she's too big for her age... Are they right??
