express a little & then try to latch him. my daughter always had trouble if I was engorged & that's what I had to do.

I have this problem. My boobs get too hard for him to eat so I used a nipple shield. Now he won't eat without it. But it works.

Hand express. It might be coming out too fast for him to eat. Then try again after the engorgement goes down.

Try expressing some to soften the breast so he can latch easier.

use your hands to squeeze some milk out that way he can get a latch on the nipple
