I figured since everyone else was sharing their birth stories I would mine as well... so I had implantation bleeding, had no idea what it was. started googling things because I thought it was weird, took a pregnancy test and surprised my husband when he got home from drill. it was nerve wrecking considering I never planned on having kids. a few months went by, I had horrible back pain. equivalent to kidney stones or back labor they told me. the only thing that helped ease the pain was an extremely hot bath but that stopped working and my husband or sisters had to get me out of the bath crying in pain. I went in to the hospital, crying and hunched over, they said they couldn't find anything wrong with me. they thought I just wanted pain pills I guess since there's an opiate outbreak around the world. they sent me home even though my blood pressure kept fluctuating very high every time I had a bad cramp they even said the baby was so stressed because the pain. made no sense to me. well, the next 3 days pass, I went in again. I've never had an iv because I was terrified of needles. they told me to pee in a cup, they thought I had a severe kidney infection. so they gave me a shot in my butt of demeral, put me on an IV and that was it. I stayed there for days....then a week goes by and they told me it was time to go home. 3 days later, I'm back in, three tries for an IV later, finally they get it. couldn't find the babies heartbeat at first, my blood pressure was really high, I haven't gained any weigh at all with the baby by 8 months. just losing weight. they doctors come in, I have hydronephrosis. finally, found a cure for my issue after trying to force feed me pain pills PTO and intravenously. I'm puking, falling asleep sitting up and finally I stop taking them. my back was full of fluid there was a knot in it very visible. they told me I needed surgery to drain it and if I could tolerate it, wait til after I give birth a month away. they also informed me since my son was under so much stress from me being in pain, he would be lucky to make it to 36 weeks. well, 36 weeks came and went. I went in for my normal check, come to find out the baby is measuring small, I'm supposed to have four sacks of fluid around him and he only had two left and the second to last one was leaking out as we speak. couldn't find a heartbeat at first and baby was head up. they kept me and induced me the next day. apparently he decided he didn't want to come. I seen morning, pictocin, and they broke my water still wasn't dilating. finally, they come in and break my water. I use to work nursing so once they broke my water I had the all leave so I could change the bed myself legs numb and all lol. I rolled from one side to another. I started pushing, they said stop and my body new keep pushing. well apparently not because I ended up tearing from inside out. all 3rd degree tears, 12 shots of lidocaine later and a bunch of stitches, my son was here. and I didn't want any help from the nurses I wanted my son and everyone out. I had a lot more problems and complications but this is the one that I struggled with most. I'm lucky my son is here and healthy. he's happy and handsome, and it was all worth it. im very lucky. I had my husband behind me video taping and coaching me the entire time. it was awesome I felt a lot of support from him and it was an indescribable feeling I'll never forget! and yes, he did cry. ❤😊
