lol I said the same thing to him. but he heard bout the labor and delivery visit. I told him I couldn't walk for two days and he's like "well... did she do it too hard? " and I was like... too hard is an understatement. so he started emphasizing gentle to make me feel better. lord knows I never want another female to check my damn cervix again. I'd rather my ob just do it 😂😂 he's far more gentle than she ever was! @theinkedbarbie

yes they were gentle with me and it still hurt . they made me bleed but the nurses in the hospital were worse tho I was mad

I had one person do it at 28 weeks to make sure I was still closed & OMG it hurt. My midwife did it Friday & it hurt like hell too. I do NOT want a male doctor at all. Lol. @xbbycolletto

@carlitojrmami, I've never bled from a vaginal check luckily. but the nurse was so rough with me I swear I was sleeping with a bag of frozen veggies in between my legs to help ease the soreness.

@theinkedbarbie, Ill be getting the first of it on the 26th. lol. but I understand some people not wanting a male ob. but I was open to it. where as I know some women aren't really for it. most ob's in my town are male. and at the rate I was going when I was searching for an ob his office was the only place that would take my insurance. and he had a female ob but she was full with patients.

it's extremely uncomfortable the farther along you go.. just bc your cervix is super soft and thinning. I hate getting my cervix checked but it was nothing compared to the real contractions lol. I always asked for a male to do it bc they just seem more gentle than the females. @xbbycolletto

I know they didn't make it their profession just to look at vaginas, but I just can't shake the feeling of it being disgusting to me. 😕 My SO doesn't want me to have a male either 😂 Not like he has to have fingers shoved up there to begin with. @xbbycolletto

@gypsy.soul2, that's how I feel. lol lord knows the nurses at gateway are too rough too. I really wanted to punch to woman who had done the check too.

@theinkedbarbie, lol yeah. but luckily my ob is just old. he feels awkward doing it to women but he told us when my boyfriend asked what made him wanna get into the profession, that after he witnessed his children being born that he was astounded at how babies from and the beauty of it and he decides he wanted to deliver them because he wants to be that person who helps women through their journey.

Which is completely respectable & understandable. I just can't cope with it lol. My moms OB is a man & he got into it because he lost his mom to cervical cancer. @xbbycolletto

@theinkedbarbie, oh my goodness! that's terrible! but I completely understand how that goes. everyone just has their preference. some have no problem with a male ob and some do. I just know I don't knock anyone for it. for me male or female doctor as long as someone helps me deliver to get my child here safely is all that matters to me. I'm just completely open to either bc they're a professional. and it does make me feel better to know when any exams take place there is always a female nurse there to accompany.

@theinkedbarbie cervical cancer is a bitch and I'm a survivor of its first stages bc I found it soon enough. your OB is amazing for wanting to get into it for that reason.

It is a bitch. My best friend just lost her mom to it in October due to not being checked yearly. 🙁 My friend is only 20 & has the rest of her life to go through now without her mom. I hate cancer. Glad you kicked it's ass. @gypsy.soul2
