question idk how I should take this , I have a daughter that my fiancé has raised since she turned 5months but I'm currently pregnant with his first child , which will be the first grandchild etc. my daughter was also the first on both sides but I never really got to do the whole baby shower thing because I delivered at 32weeks well , his mother has stated since she found out about the pregnancy that she wants to plan everything and that my side of the family just needs to show up and that this is her baby they already had there grandchild/niece etc. it really upsets me because I'm like I never got to plan my own baby shower and this is not her child its mines and she had the nerve to say she will be getting the child after its born I really just want to run away like I feel like she's trying to take my child

Ummmm first off you're the mother not her so you make the decisions round here!! (well over there lol) but the nerve of her!!!! & wtf she mean she gone take the child once it's born??? maybe y'all need to talk cause she's obviously confused & thinks this is her baby & does your child's father know what his mama tryna do???

I went through the same thing... Learn to politely say no! My MIL thought she could run every aspect of my daughter. She even tried to pick her Halloween costume. At first I just let her buy whatever & I went & got what I wanted. Eventually I realized that it was ridiculous & I had to stop caring about hurting her feelings. I now just say no, I will decide what I want my daughter's to have. I also put my foot down about her trying to tell me when she was going to have my kids. It was a long rough road but so worth it.
