Anybody have any tips on Potty Training . My son is going to be 2 in 3 weeks and it's time for him to use the potty . He gets the idea of using the bathroom and sits on the toilet but he doesn't like sitting for long 😩

My son attempted on and off at 2 but didn't want to you can't force them or it takes longer my son's third birthday he decided it was time and started.

Boys are harder to potty train than girls, that's what we're working on at the daycare I work at & it's been a pain

BUT what has been working is rewards & scolds. We use mini M&M's (1 for pee 2 for poop & only 2 for both) there's no harm no foul if they sit on the potty for at least five minutes but if they poop in pull-up/diaper we tell them they can't have M&M's until they go on the potty... Some of the boys have actually done better if we find they poop in their diaper we say "oh well I guess *so & so* is a baby because he/she pooped in their diaper" we always get the response "no I'm a big BOY/GIRL!" And I wouldn't recommend the potty drawing method. Because that's teaching them it's okay to draw on something other than paper... Don't be upset if he colors on the walls... Just saying
