help! so last night we had KFC for dinner. we bought the family meal where you get the bucket of chicken and the sides. well after I ate I went to bed after i put the lids back on all the food. i told my hubby to put it away for me. he never comes to bed until like 4 am because he plays games all night. well when i woke up this morning and ate the left over KFC. my hubby just informed me that he forgot to put it away until like 4-5 hours later!!!!! is my baby going to be okay? :( lids were on food just wasn't put away until several hours later because he was so wrapped up in his dumb game...

depends, what exactly did you eat? saying KFC just makes it vague. The chicken, biscuits, potatoes, gravy, and beans would be fine... I'd worry about the mac n cheese and the coleslaw though. and it's not going to do anything to your unborn child, the placenta filters everything. the most it could do is upset your stomach, cause mild diarrhea and vomiting.

The chicken is what I'd be worried about since it sat out at room temperature for longer than it should. I went to culinary school and the temperature danger zone is 40-140 degrees. It could easily grow bacteria and make you sick just from sitting out for an hour. When it sits out at KFC it's above the 140 to keep bacteria from forming. But if you do eat it make sure it's really hot to kill anything that may have grown on it.
