yes they might stop you from opening further by stopping your contractions, but I've been told you can walk around several cm open for months? I've been 2 cm for a month?

@alynna9684 to stop dilation, they give you a shot that helps stop your cervix from opening more. Then they just monitor you. They did that with my cousin when she was in preterm labor at 32 weeks
