I was debating on a home birth and a hospital birth and the reason that I decided no to the hospital was because I was talking to 2 mom's and the first said that she was induced and then the baby got stuck and she had to have a c-section and then the second was 2 weeks over due and said "I went in on last Tuesday and they induced me, but nothing happened. so I am going back in on Tuesday to have them try again."
I was induced and it wasn't bad! I heard though contractions are worse when you're getting induced than without the pitocin. But I liked the fact that I was able to plan out the date and feel organized. I had no side effects and my labor was only about 6 hours.
Mine wasn't terrible. Around 9pm they inserted cervidil to help me dilate, around 2 am it fell out, I was at a 4 and labored naturally until around 1pm, had pitocin, took some pain meds to sleep, asked for an epidural, which didn't work, and had him around 5pm. Now that I know what I'm in for, I'm doing this one natural!
It was a very long process for me. And the pitocin made me sick. My labor with my first was 38 hours. And after I had him I was throwing up this green mucus it was gross. But when all else fails you have to do what's necessary. Good luck 😊
@ashleynicole22, I was just induced it was such a long process. and so uncomfortable. but after they popped my water bag everything went fast. I suggest you get the epidural it was a life saver.. pain was so bad. but then again it's different for everyone.
