So for mommies that have had babies already when you measured ahead did they induce you? Since I'm measuring 4 weeks ahead I was wondering if I'd be induced.
@mommmyyof2, yes they really do sound alike lol ...... and oh my God at least its one of us that can enjoy not knowing it drives me crazy !!!
@mommychina_, Oo glad I'm not the only one sounds like our pregnancies are almost the same lol I'm not too worried an I don't mind carrying until she is ready I did with my son an it's kinda exciting to not know exactly when they will come out.
@mommmyyof2, the same thing happened to me about the 1hr and 3hr glucose test my obgyn said he noticed women who fail then pass like that seem to have bigger babies , but like someone said in the comments if the weight isn't to excessive they won't induce you . he was concerned at first to with my baby and then she checked out fine and he just dropped the whole subject .
@momof2tobe, well she is concerned I have my ultrasound in 2 weeks it was supposed to be in 4 weeks but they moved it up at 30 weeks I was just measuring 2 weeks ahead an now I'm 32 weeks an measuring 4 weeks ahead
Yeah but more than likely they won't induce you until 39 weeks unfortunately. My daughter is halfway out my woo-hoo and I have to wait till next friday. They said it should be a quick and easy delivery since im already 2 cm dilated and 60% effaced and she's already -2 on birthing station. so hope all goes well and hope all goes well for you and your little one :) @mommmyyof2
It's really common to measure a little ahead and even behind. if your Dr wasn't concerned about you shouldn't be either.
@bentley_mommy, yea I'm hoping not they told me to watch my sugar intake b.c of my glucose being a little high when I did my 3 hr test but I passed it. I've seen 2 Dr's an they both said I needed the ultrasound cause of her size
@krhoff, my son was a big baby he was 8.7lbs full term I delivered him at 40 weeks exactly so they are thinking she will be big an I had some trouble getting him out
@mommychina_, hm that's weird my Dr does seem concerned tho with her weight she told me watch my sugar intake as well cause I did fail my 1 hr glucose test an my 3 hr came back fine but I did have a little elevated level with 3 hr one so I'm hoping that doesn't play into her weight I don't mind not being induced but they seem concerned with her weight an I've seen 2 Dr's for it
I was told my baby measured 3 weeks ahead and was expecting her to weigh a solid 10+ pounds at birth. I was induced on my due date because she didn't want me going past 40 weeks and she came out weight 7 Ibs 11 oz. so they aren't always spot on. good luck mommas!
If she gets too big that would be deemed a medical emergency and they will induce but not unless the baby is healthy. @mommmyyof2
yes i had a growth ultrasound , and she was where she was supposed to be ; they did mention her legs measuring 2 weeks ahead of her. but most likely they won't induce you because of this ... even though her growth is great i still measure big and have no clue as to why .
@mommychina_, Ok I'm just trying to figure it out I've never measured so big with my son they are ordering me an ultrasound at 34 weeks. did they give you one?
@bentley_mommy, oh well yea I measured 2 weeks ahead with my son an they never induced me but I'm measuring a whole month in advance which is a concern for them. They schedule me an ultrasound in 2 weeks cause there worried about her size
no i measure 4 weeks ahead as well and am 35 weeks now , so i measure 39 & my obgyn hasn't mentioned anything about an induction .
Nope. My baby is measuring a week ahead and they won't induce you until 39 weeks. Just had that talk with my doctor today. They go based off date of conception. Only way they induce earlier than 39 weeks based on date of conception is if it's a medical emergency. I tried to get induced this week but they said no so I'll be induced next friday@mommmyyof2
measuring ahead
Anyone else measuring ahead?
Curious. When you measure ahead... does that mean baby is big, due date is off or baby is coming early?
Has anyone ever heard of being induced at 38 weeks solely because you are measuring two weeks ahead, no health issues. Not talking about myself..
What does it mean when a baby is measuring a week ahead?
For all you mommies that's babies were measuring ahead in the womb, did any of you deliver early?
@mommychina_, yes well brightside to it i get to see my baby girl in 2 weeks so I'm excited for that appointment!
