My labour and birth story:

Went for a sweep yesterday morning and by late afternoon I had my bloody show and was having mild cramps. I was 1cm at the sweep. I woke up at 3am today with really bad pains and tightenings. Rang birth centre and they told me to hold off but it was too much so came in and was 5cm. Then my waters broke and got moved up to the birth room. I was 7cm when I finally got gas and air and was fully dilated within 30 mins. I barely used the gas and air and then 30 mins of hard pushing she was here. Had to have some external stitches but fine other than that. I'm really lucky that it went so fast and I feel well enough to walk around! Hope everyone else's birth's go as smooth as possible x
