I know Sebastian bought stuff for Valentine's Day bc his sister spilt the beans halfway to me. IDK what i got. but to be completely HONEST: i really wish he hadn't gotten me anything. don't get me wrong. whatever it is I'm sure it's from the heart. but In the two years with this guy he's never had to buy me things. because I for one just don't ask like that. and two I know what little money he makes needs to go towards bills and groceries IF we can afford it after bills which is almost never. I'm not gonna act ungrateful. but the most I want for Valentine's Day today is just his time. which is far more valuable to me than any gift he can give me. because he's given me everything I could ask for this year. which is his love and this baby we will be meeting In 5 weeks

Not weird at all it's awesome that you see it that same way my husband and I don't expect anything either it's just another day and I'd rather the money go towards something for our daughter. Idk why this holiday is so important and people get so hurt if they don't get anything it should be Valentine's Day year round not just one day the love should be always ! Quality time is the perfect gift!

@mrscruz0530, that's what I feel. we don't get much time together becsuse he's always asleep or at work, especially working two jobs one being a 10 dollar an hour job at a factory. and the other is a 2 night job on the weekends as a server at Waffle house. I'd rather have his time and for his money to go to what it's been since the start which has always been towards bills because it's always been to support us. we've never really gone on dates or anything in the two years we've been together. and I've never been the type to walk into a store and beg for clothes or items of no value. most I asked for ever is to make sure we have our food and for a pack of cigarettes. I know a lot of people like to express a lot on this holiday. but to me it's a hallmark holiday really. I feel like its definitely a little extra. ya know? why wait for one day in which card companies and candy factories have made extreme to show love. when the history behind valentines day is actually so much more.. lol

Agreed 🙌🙌🙌👏👏👏 these companies are out there to make money and they put these thoughts into people's heads so everyone feels they have to get something or they aren't loved but dam appreciate the fact that bills get paid throughout the year and your taken care of I'm happy with that ! Cuz that's less that i have to worry about lol I'd rather get surprised on a random day of the year with a rose or something then expect something on a certain day just because it's expected you know ? But to each their own I guess lol I just know I'm not going to get upset about not getting something I'm good :)

lol yes girl! even if he came home from work empty handed but cuddled up to me and we spent the day playing with my belly would be the best ever. I wasn't ever one to. get a Valentine gift or even have someone on the day when I was younger. so just knowing I've had someone who loves me to spend my days with, is enough for me! @mrscruz0530

I feel the same way.. my bf has been trying to get me things for a while now... he even asked me again tonight.. and I told him not to get me anything. I rather he spend the money on something for our baby or something we need than buy a teddy bear and some flowers or something that I don't even need or won't know what do with them later on.
