What's everyone's thoughts on dilation checks? Doing a lot of research and not too sure about them. This whole pregnancy I said no to all checks and exams due to a bad past with a male dr. So what's everyone think about them? Are they worth it? And the main question. Do they really hurt?

Do y'all buy y'all baby shoes? I'm hesitant. I feel like they are cute but what's the point? what's a good age to start buying them? closer to when they start walking?
@usmcgirl0814, i never goht checked till the day i went into labor and it was uncofterable and i didnt even dialate it juhst hurt me at the end wen the nurse checked .
