My son is 10 days old and today he has been either nursing or fussing almost nonstop. I feel like I'm giving and letting him nurse too much but it's the only thing that makes him happy. Dreading the rest of tonight 😭💤😴
no problem if you have any more questions you can message me 😊 we have to stick together 😀
So helpful thanks you guys! Sometimes just knowing other people have gone Thru the same thing makes me feel better! @lovelycin09 @sarahdrew
no not at all i just burp him alot when he whines or cries after feeding i already know its gas so i just put him on my chest and pat his back till he lets atleast 2-3 gas after that he will stop crying and go to sleep. it can be even hours after feeding that out of no where he will start crying and i just pat his back he will let out 1-2 gas then he will stop, its stressful sometimes they do take long to burp but its better to keep on trying than to have him up fussing in pain because of gas.
I gave gripe water to my daughter (not sure if they can have it that young tho) also my mother in law made a rice bag put of an old hat of my sons (think he got it in the hospital when he was born lol) and I would warm it for 30 seconds on 60% power and lay it on her belly on top of her receiving blanket and she would either pass the gas or it would shift it around enough she would sleep for a bit
Thanks @sarahdrew & @lovelycin09 ... I was thinking growth spurt but he has also seemed more gassy today. Have you found anything to help his gas?
same here mines is 10 days old too and doing the same thing he only sleeps good during the day but at night he's up even if i breastfeed him and make sure everything is ok he fusses alot especially when he has gas that's one thing you have to check also maybe he has gas and it makes them uncomfortable. Good luck hopefully they get better. im exhausted but i wouldn't change it for anything ☺
gripe water helps 4 weeks + , bicycling their legs really helps too.
