my son tested positive for strep (he's 22 months old) so he's taking amoxicillin and motrin..I don't know which one it is but one of those meds got him acting completely horrible, bad, crazy whatever you want to call it. he was literally the sweetest thing and today I swear he's not my child, his behavior is horrible. he's acting like one of those kids you watch that makes you wanna smack the parents cuz their soooo BAD. I don't know what to do... I'm too pregnant for all this

It could definitely be the Motrin. My son had HFM disease and completely acted out all day when i gave him motrin. It was terrible he was so fussy and mean during that time and his sleeping schedule got so messed up :( As soon as i stopped giving him mortin he was acting like himself, i just gave him Tylenol instead

i had strep alot as a kid that alone would make me act horrid. eating and drinking hurts, crying hurts! strep is miserable poor kiddo

@_mommyoftwo_, yeah he's been on motrin for two days and today he's been smashing food into the floor, hitting and destroying things, knocking things over and has cried non stop. he is literally the best behaved little boy usually helps pick up toys and sings and dances all day and is happy and I'm so heartbroken because I've actually had to yell at him and discipline him today and that never happens

Oh i feel you girl!! I hope he gets over the strep soon, i hate having to give my son motrin! He acted just like you described mostly knocking everything over, and screaming crying!!!! I hate having to discipline my son too, makes me feel horibble :(

@_mommyoftwo_, thanks girl I hope he gets over it soon too 😩 I miss my little angel he is only good when I'm holding him and then he falls asleep... I have so much to do around the house tho!!! and I just noticed your name is ashley keller? my name before I got married two years ago was ashley kelly!! 😄 what a coincidence
