Has anyone had a birth with natural contractions and a birth with pitocin? I'm curious how different they are. I've heard pitocin contractions are much more painful
I went into labor naturally, but my contractions being stressed so, I was given pitocin to help regulate them. It was three times as painful with the pitocin. That alone forced me to get an epidural. Once I had the epidural, there was zero pain.
i had both with my first it was natural vaginal was in labor for 8 hours and had an epidural it helped with the pain and numbed my bottom down wasn't so painful, with my second i was induced vaginal was in labor for 4-5 hours had an epidural didn't do anything i was in hell of pain it was way worse than with my first and contractions were really strong.. so yes getting induced is worse and more painful
If it makes you feel better with my first I was at 1 cm for weeks so was induced at 39 weeks, started pitocin at about 9 and I had her at 1:45 that afternoon!! I guess everyone's bodies are different lol for me this time I feel like waiting to go into labor would be worse 😂😂 @Jess ica0830
@d_ryan, Awww yay! That's exciting! But yeah all of my friends that have been induced either had c-sections or crazy long and painful labors. I was like oh hell no lol
I was induced and had a beautiful experience. State red the pitocin at 11:30 am he was here at 3:42pm!
Everyone says being induced is awful but I had the best experience!! Scheduled to be induced this Friday with baby #2 lol @jessica0830
I had pitocin and didn't feel contractions till about 4 cm lol got an epidural at 8
Pitocin makes things progress more and it does hurt more. I was in labor for 8 hours. Everytime they checked if I was dilated I had progressed each time. But My epidural stopped working as I was pushing and those contractions were so painful. I was screaming. It hurt so much.
