Hubby believe either I'm further along than I am or the baby just a really fast grower... Hmmmm he has a point
@deafmama16, awesome ! Hope u get what u want ! And most importantly a healthy baby lol
@deafmama16, oh ok well usually if baby measures a good bit ahead on ultrasound they will change ur due date so prob measuring on track with lmp. My guess is it'll be a boy ! Lol
that's typically how they do it. if the ultrasound measured ahead, past the threshold, they would have adjusted it
@emily18234, my tech was my OB all this time but I will see a different tech on the 19th so I guess I will find out and get more information. I do drink a lot of water before pregnancy @tina4483 my ob didn't he only tells me that the baby growing right and is healthy. He gaved my GA by my lmp.
as far as your body goes, if you are a well hydrated person with a low body fat percentage, you will get a lot clearer of images. less obstruction.
Usually the ultrasound tech will tell you what the baby is measuring . Like how many weeks .. Did they tell you baby was measuring ahead ? An old wives tale is that boys look like babies earlier on ultrasounds then girls . @deafmama16
so, there's a threshold for measurements. if the baby measures between x and y, it's z for the age. if your lmp lines up with the threshold for the first ultrasound, it's pretty reliable that your GA was right.
Not really sure what you mean by measurement lined up @emily18234 never thought my body has something to do with it. I'm a ftm so I'm still learning
but the measurements lined up? the definition of the nugget actually depends on your body, not the baby so much.
@emily18234, I did at 4 weeks but at my 7 weeks ultrasound our baby looked more like a baby instead of a blob when I compare it other mommies 7 week ultrasound. My next ultrasound is on the 19th
@tina4483 true a healthy baby sound better :)
