as long as you don't lay flat on your back you should be ok, use a couple pillows to prop your head up so the blood can still regulate normally
I rotate from side to side. and also on my back. I only lay on my back a certain amount of time tho. basically when I start feeling flat bellied and the baby feels like its burrowing in my organs. then when I flip on my side he stretches back out lol. but I don't stop sleeping on my back and probably won't lol
I'm almost 37 weeks an I still sleep on my back. I wake up on my back. Don't ever have back pains
yeah I'm uncomfortable now but my legs go numb if I lay on my sides to long & I'm only 15 weeks
I'm 27 weeks and do, it's more comfortable for me. And actually helps me for heart burn
@txkitten83 @kyasmommy24 It's actually a misconception that using pillows to prop your head makes it okay to sleep on your back. The problem with sleeping on your back in pregnancy is because the uterus doubles in size from the size of your fist to a watermelon. It's a safe precaution to stop sleeping on your back in the second and third trimester due to the fact that by these times the uterus has grown in size, and the weight of it, plus the weight of your growing baby presses into a major vein that pumps blood from your lower body to your heart. Obviously, we toss and turn about in our sleep so it's common to wake up on your back and you shouldn't worry if you do, just change positions. Laying on your side is the best possible position after 16 weeks of pregnancy. :)
