I have genuinely never been so angry! I have deleted the "what to expect" app off my phone due to the very rude mothers!!! Someone posted saying she felt awful about smoking through out her pregnancy and as I'm a smoker too and still trying to stop, with help, I thought I would encourage her to only do what she could do and I have mothers claiming I'm in the wrong and that I'm selfish and I don't love my unborn child? So so rude and out of order!!! Some mothers, especially those that are older, really are horrible people 😡😡😡😡 love this app! Everyone is so friendly and non-judgemental no matter what!
That app is awful. I also deleted it, the people on there are absolutely horrible x
that's just plain rude @beccastirlingx xx
@jamesnbump16, @jayden19 @nic881 thank you girls! It is difficult, but atleast I can say I haven't stopped trying or given up! I'm still trying for the sake of my little boy, and for him I will keep on trying! It was when one mother told me I didn't love my child! I couldn't believe it. Bloody evil witch! X
I was already cutting down before I got pregnant and carried on cutting down after I found out it's so hard to do and people don't understand I even had girls at work tutting at me n telling me how bad it is like I don't feel guilty already people can be so judgmental usually people who feel guilty about something they r doing!! chin up hun u will get there in your own time. also I found baby centre nice the chat boards on there r quite friendly n usually pretty responsive x
This is the reason people get depressed in pregnancy the constant judgement! We are all human and we all had our ways and habits before we got pregnant it's hard to just stop,we as women should encourage and support each other and be helpful...weather we agree with there decisions or not x
I just cut down which is really hard, it's an addiction simple as and anyone knows that an addiction is hard to stop. I'm on that app and I find it's because a lot of the mothers are from America, they don't seem to be as down to earth as British women are, just my opinion though lol, you will stop if/when you are completely ready and able to do it with no other stresses going on, don't let people tell you what to do it's not there life/child/body you know what's right and cutting down is a huge deal good on you xx
@mrsripper, @polisha0311 @cmcdon203 @elouu1993 you girls are fab! Thank you so much xx
Just ignore them xxx @beccastirlingx I no how hard it is to stop ,and I would never judge if u can't do it xx
@beccastirlingx, exactly hun! dont let anybody put you down!xx
Just cut down as much as you can I would never let someone force me to do something I didn't want to .... don't hate yourself you have already cut down so just keep going!! @beccastirlingx thanks @elouu1993
My midwife referred me to the nhs stop smoking by 12 weeks I had my appointment and then got my patches for free but quit after a week on them ..... my first 2 are perfectly healthy not a sign of asthma or anything lung related my daughter was 6.2 and my son 9.6 ...... @beccastirlingx I have gone from 15 a day to nothing and I still crave but now I think of how far I've come o wouldn't but u would never judge it's not easy so don't stress all will be fine zx
Exactly! End of the day, we know our bodies and our babies and if anything was wrong we'd defo stop! @elouu1993 xx
@beccastirlingx, ive been slated by so many people for it but id rather know my boys ok than risk hurting him more for quitting now, even my MIL went mental at me for it but i dont exactly have the best relationship with her.. oh yeah its incredibly hard especially when im having a bad day anyway😞 doesnt help with hormones haha! xx
@elouu1993, defo put a complaint in! That is shocking that they have left it so long! They want mothers to stop smoking but aren't willing to provide the help, it's just silly tbh xx
I'm between 15-20 from 30! It's so hard! I think your the first person that actually understands!!! @elouu1993 xx
@cmcdon203, jeeez hun take it easy! x im 36 weeks now😔 and even my consultant said theres not much point in me waiting for a referral and has put a complaint in with me xx
@beccastirlingx, dont hate yourself hun! its an addiction, i know plenty of mums that smoked 25+ a day during pregnancy and all their babies birth weights were above 6lb and absolutely fine xx
@elouu1993, yeah! I got referred but never heard anything till I was 28 weeks and she's cut me off because she said it's dangerous for my boy because I'm working 50 odd hours a week and I'm already stressed as it is! But in trying again when my stress levels are down when I go on my maternity! It's so hard!!! But just keep chasing your midwife up about the stop smoking thing! You'll eventually get somewhere and hopefully sooner than I did! Xx
And where your babies fine? Like good birth weights etc? My mums craving was cigarettes! She smoked around 60 with me and my sister, I was 6 pounds 3 and my sister was 7 pound 3! I hate smoking and I keep trying to stop but when I do, I have panic attacks because of my anxiety disorder! I hate myself tho! @mrsripper x
@beccastirlingx, thats discusting! i saulte any mummy to be that can quit smoking during pregnancy, i smoke myself and the doctors wont help me one bit to quit! said i have to be referred by the hospital which ive been waiting for, for over ten weeks and i chase it everytime im at the hosptal and i get told im on the waiting list as ive been told not to just go cold turkey as it will damage my boy more than smoking would..people are so judgemental it really grates on me! you love your child sod what others think, especially (no offence to anybody) but the women who have never smoked and dont understand how hard it is to quit but yet they seem to be the ones to judge the most! sorry for my rant😘 hope your ok hun x
I smoked with my first 2 pregnancies but quit on this one @beccastirlingx but it was my choice and it should be yours and yours alone .... bearing in mind my other pregnancy were 10 and 13 years ago a lot has changed judgement is not needed no matter what you do 😄 z
Yup deffo there are some women on there going through really tough times and you can see that hundreds have women have viewed it but not one person barely comments or offers support , obviously there are the exceptions and have some people that are really genuine and nice xx
Iv never smoked so I don't know what it's like to try give up! But I'm sure some of those mothers do stuff that isn't advised also xx
Mums on the glow app are the same and you don't seem to get much support but expect it themselves I agree that this app is so much better and that people are so much nicer xx
It's awful!!! Claiming I don't love my child? That is really upsetting!!! I wish I could see these people in person!! @cmcdon203 xx

My sweet baby girl gained her angel wings this morning. She was my best friend, my true love my everything. She was so happy and beautiful, I'm struggling to say good bye. Sleep tight princess, mummy and daddy love you very very much ❤️
So I'm having some late pregnancy worries... What if cant comfort her? What if I don't know why shes crying? Like say we're out and shes screaming and I just don't know what she wants!! That thought scares the shit out of me!

is it wrong to be frustrated that my daughter acts like she can't do certain things with out my help. she plays dumb a lot and I wish I could be like no girl show what you know. she acts like she can't trace or match shapes so shes ask for "mommy finger" to help her so I barely hold her hand and she magically can do it but if I dont hold her hand she just scribbles and acts like she doesnt know
the pic is how she traces when I'm "helping her" otherwise it'll just be scribbles all over the page
I don’t get why certain people on this app always have to be rude af she comment on everyone’s posts 🤦🏼♀️
@suzie31, couldn't agree more. So rude and self absorbed! X
