I am 17 weeks 4 days and my belly button area hurts so bad has anyone else experienced this and knows why????
I only got it because of my gall bladder surgery I had after my first was born. my regular Dr didn't want to go back in to fix it, so I've just dealt with it. it only really bothers me in pregnancy, but I know its possible for it to happen for other reasons. didn't mean to scare you
I had that with my second, and found out I had an umbilical hernia. just ask ur Dr to check. I still have it, and it hurts bad!
I will try :-) pregnancy brain is a real issue for me tho. especially when it comes time to talk to my OB lol.
If you ask before me please let me know @maybabyboy my pain just started at 17 weeks
around 26 or 27 weeks I think. I'm 24 weeks this week, and I've been having that pain off and on since I was like 12 weeks. I keep forgetting to ask my OB about it tho.
it's not possible. your belly is stretching. the umbilical cord is in no way connected to your belly button.
@maybabyboy, exactly what i feel tender around it.
When does second trimester end?
Mine does this too! and it will be tender to touch right around it, like someone shoved a hot needle into my belly button. I have noticed mine is getting less deep too, so maybe it's cause baby is growing and pushing it out. I've heard if your belly button is gonna pop, it usually does it by the end of the 2nd trimester, and I'm coming up on that time now.
Careful, there's a mom on here going around saying it's because the baby pulled on the umbilical cord.
@elenasmommmy, @juliatims i dint know if my belly button was going to pop out but i think its early for that
@juliatims, not so much but my right side is definetly the babys favorite
Does it feel really hard bc it might be your baby pressing up against it. That's what happened to me.
@aj33, its ok get better!! I hope its just round ligament pain for me
