I just went in for my 36 week appointment and Ms. Emberlee is breach. My doctor doesn't think shes going to move down on her own so my two options are:

1. My doctor can try to get her to rotate externally. She said that this is successful with FTMs less than 50% of the time, is extremely painful and also carries the risk of early labor and the umbilical cord getting wrapped around her neck.

2. Schedule a C-section at 39 weeks.

Any advice?

I had to have my son rotated. I didn't want a C-section. It went perfect. The umbilical cord was wrapped loosely around him but when they broke my water they had the ultrasound on him and as he dropped it came off. @mamabear2016

You could also find a doctor that's willing to do a breach delivery. Depending on the presentation of the baby you may still be able to deliver vaginally with little to no risk.

and don't schedule a c section if you don't have to, just wait for labor to come naturally and then if baby didn't turn yet, do the c section

and preterm labor shouldn't worry you as you are almost full term and it wouldn't be a problem

I would investigate a little bit about turning the baby, ask the doctor if you have options of choosing the doctor, research the percentages of babies who end up with cord around their neck, and Also ask your doctor how experienced he/she is in doing that because there is a lot of them out there who don't know how to do it but if your doctor is experienced and there is not a huge chance of baby getting cord around the neck I would go for it

c-section. Trying to turn the baby can be dangerous if not done properly
