Small Rant. Why does breastfeeding have to be so time consuming? I've had problems with her latching since the first feeding, now that we've solved that, she don't stay latched for more then 10 minutes. She let's go or falls asleep. Then she's hungry again 20 minutes later.... I wish this was easier..... I'm glad it will be worth it in the end.
that's normal for baby to fall asleep it soothing and hard work being so little ,my son is 6 month still eats 1-2hours it gets easier
@madelynnb, thanks. I just needed to vent a little I'm frustrated with it, but I know it's only cause my milk is still coming in. I had my baby 3 days ago. I'm just hoping it isn't this frustrating forever.
my 6 month old still eats every 1-2 hours and until he was 2 months old he constantly nursed pretty much. but it's all worth it I promise
She latched!!!
Finally my daughter latched! I'm so excited! She was on each breast for 10 minutes each. Is that enough??? How long are you mamas nursing for? And how often?

She is doing great so far. She has such a strong latch and currently snuggling daddy!
why is it now all of a sudden no matter what I do my daughter won't latch correctly on the right side? I get milk all over me and I end up pumping that side because she nurses long enough to cause a let down but not much longer (the longest amount of time in the last day has been 6 minutes) she will nurse and latch normally on the left side but not the right.... it's driving me nuts

Landry Ann-Marie Born at 6:43 pm 7.6lbs 21 inches long. She WAS breeched and never turned. Her butt was in the birth canal lol. She is perfect and has already latched perfectly!
Undressing them down to a diaper can help keep them awake and feeding. Try to keep them actively sucking and hear that swallow .. It will help fill her tummy more and it will get better mama.. She's learning too, hang in there❤️
