Anybody tested positive for HPV during pregnancy? I did at 14 weeks and I'm wondering how your pregnancy went

@nayassa77, I had my Pap smear since I was 15. I have to to get at every annual check up

they sont give you a pap smear here in michigan till your 21

o ok yea i called my doc office n they said the samething im not 21 yet n i wont be till after i have my baby and thatll be in august

@nayassa77, nope Pap smear but you will know if you got it if you have an abnormal Pap smear results

@nayassa77, I guess it would be when they do the hiv testing I'm not sure my ob tested me for when I had a yeast infection that lasted longer than 7 days

While dormant, the virus is inactive; it won't be detected by testing and will not spread or cause any problems. -from the cdc.. so if it's detected it's active..

no worries it could essentially rip off when you deliver baby which is the case with most pregnancies. keep me updated and don't be scared, it's there and will stay there forever but a good diet and life can combat it.. pregnancy depletes your immune system and that's why most hpv become relevant bc it feeds off weak immune systems @deafmama16

it's he most common std. nothing to freak over. I had CIN3 while pregnant with our first and then got a LEEP procedure after she was born. you should find out which strand you have if possible bc I had the cancer strands. it usually goes away on its own but I changed my whole lifestyle after I found out and went through treatment.. one of the worst days ever was getting that news and that my body couldn't fight it alone. @deafmama16

@jensensmom, all my ob said is that there was mini cells spots on my cervix and I have another follow up on the 16th next week

Did they say it was active? I tested positive but it wasn't active so it won't affect anything. My doctor doesn't even bring it up.
