it tests for down syndrome and other issues. but also tells the gender your prenatal Dr. can tell you if you should have one done. Most insurance won't pay for it unless it is medically required for high risk pregnancy.

mine doesn't unless there's a medical reason for it. Because i am over 35 years old they covered it because of high risk pregnancy advanced age.

does your insurance cover it? I am working on getting a call back from my insurance to find out if ours will
