I still can't believe I went through so much of my labor at home & was 9cm when we finally made it to the hospital. Actually having him was NOTHING like I expected. I was supposed to be induced on the 22nd, not have him naturally on the 10th. lol

I feel that medicine is so easily pushed as a norm because people have told horror stories as to what true natural labor is like and the movies exaggerate it.
My labor started at noon, I went in at 3 PM -- was at a 4 walked until 5:45, then I ate dinner cause doctor wasnt able to get to me until 6:45 pm, I was at a 5.5 with my water bulging, she broke it and I was holding my son at 8:16PM (I was also only dilated to an 8 when my body decided he was coming. )
Awesome @ilyric makes me feel stronger about my choice! My friends are like have the epidural waiting for you when you get there, I'm like naw I want to experience this for myself no drugs, no back pain afterwards, baby looking like they done smoked something...I'm good. You do you and I'll do me! they say I'm crazy, but I'm like your crazy lol! crazy the perspectives!
I've been told recovery is much easier . How long did you wait before going to the hospital ? @ilyric
Congrats Momma!! I myself had a natural birth with my son and found it a lot better than my medicated births with both my daughters since my body was able to handle the pain rather than get the shock of it from the meds wearing off. Recovery is also so much easier! @loveerii @expectingz
How was it? Better than expected or worse? Just from your text it seemed better😊. There are something we just have no control over. I want to be like that, go right from home to pushing. Seems to make things more pleasant instead of ppl poking and proding!
How did you deal with the pain ? I'm seriously considering natural birth
That doesn't sound that bad at all @ilyric
