Ok mommies I need some help ... This is kind of long because I included a schedule but I am desperate ... As you see it's 2:45 AM and My son is almost 7 months old is wide awake and here lately he has gotten way off schedule and I can't seem to get us back close to any normal schedule ... I'm a stay-at-home mom but we still need a schedule. Right now this is our awful schedule :
10 PM - bed time
12 AM - wakes for bottle usually stays up until about 3
3am - back to sleep
6am- awake to take my step daughter to bus stop, bottle and back to sleep usually pretty quick
*here is our problem he will sleep until about 10-11am and stay awake until about 6pm no nap during the day wide awake and full of energy*
6pm- he falls asleep
8 PM awake until 10 PM and the cycle starts again!
I have tried bath time, oatmeal or baby food at bedtime, trying not to over stimulate him in the late evening ...
I just don't know what I am doing wrong ?! HELP!
@kaliyahsmommy, tonight is the latest he has ever stayed awake and he doesn't even look sleepy 😟 yet ... Hoping we get on a better schedule tomorrow ! Thank you for the late night help ladies @sadezbenz
I know it is dear but try and remain calm. for bathing time try to use like lavender for him it calms you down and puts you to sleep. I really hope this helps. I'm going to check up on you tomorrow before 8pm to see how yall day was
@sadezbenz, I'm hoping if I wake him up earlier he will go to bed earlier ... This has been going on for about a week! I am exhausted!
I'd feel guilty too and just be like okay fineee go to sleep lol but I don't have kids it just worked with kids I babysat I feel bad but they be on some funky schedules...just try to get him to take that nap sooner..with u waking him up earlier he will for sure fall asleep sooner..I hope it works for u love
I would also change his bed time to 8. 10 may be too late for him and that may be because of the long naps.
I always feel guilty waking him because I know he needs the sleep but I'm gonna try that tomorrow because i can't keep doing this ... Momma needs sleep!
maybe try waking him up earlier than 11? and get him to take a nap way earlier? i know that's easier said than done..but you probably just have to deal with him being really sleepy and fussy for a while until he gets used to taking a nap sooner..cause that nap is what kills you ..idk
18 month sleep regression? Cool what other new things am I going to learn about. 👌
My son out of nowhere for the past two weeks now has been waking up around midnight and staying wide awake, playing, and jumping like it's a bounce house in his bed until 4/5 am! This mama is TIRED. Being a full time student and working, plus household chores adding to it.
I noticed his sleep was really off wack, like this:
Wake up at 1/2 in the afternoon
Refuse nap
Falls asleep around 8/9 pm
Wakes up and WIDE A...
every time I get up to use the bathroom now I can't go back to sleep :( 4am here and wide awake
Why am I still wide awake!? My kids have been asleep for hours now... and here I am switching back and forth between my apps 🤦🏻♀️
Maternity leave
Sorry ladies if this has already been asked but when are you guys going on maternity leave? I was thinking about working all the way up until my due date but with my work schedule, I may take it earlier
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
You're welcome dear
