It's honestly how long you wanna work til. Some women work up until the day they go into labor, some start maternity leave 2 weeks before their due date. Being a nurse, you'll be on your feet a lot so you may wanna take a break before the baby gets here just so your body isn't so achey but if you feel like you can go up until the due date go for it!

You can work as long as you're comfortable doing so. I mean you're a nurse so you know when you need a break & I'm sure your coworkers will know & understand too😊 I wanted to work so bad through my pregnancy but my last shifts I kept coming close to passing out or I was throwing up a lot, so I couldn't keep working. One of my last shifts I almost passed out & was seeing blotches of colors 13 minutes into it. So needless to say I haven't been able to work & it's killing me so bad 😣

my first I was already SAH. but this one I have it scheduled for August 14th start my maternity leave. august 19th is my due date, that way if I'm not already in labor, then I have a week off to relax and finish preparing before baby gets here. and I went into labor with my first at 40 weeks 3 days (around 11pm) and had her 40w4d. also your doc checks you weekly that last month so you'll know if you're dilating or if you've got a higher chance that you may labor earlier than exactly 40 weeks etc. so just do what makes you comfortable.

thanks for the advice ladies! I guess the biggest part of this is the financial planning aspect! Not knowing how it will go and planning for a date that may come 2 weeks late and having a shorter time off work with baby freaks me out. I want as much time with my little one as I can but also need to be able to afford it as well 😊

27.5 weeks along and I'm still waitressing will continue until told I can't anymore
