so.. is it weird that my bf/fiance doesn't take holidays serious like me growing up holidays have always been special because of family but to him they are just an ordinary day, for christmas he didn't get me a gift wich I said watever about.... even tho I was sort of hurt.. last year on valentine's day he didn't get me anything either and we ended up arguing because I surprised him at work with roses... this year I was talking to him about making plans or what he would like because he doesn't like chocolate and he shakes his head and tells me valentine's day doesn't matter it's another day... I understand that he feels that way..... but it's special to me....

My boyfriend isn't big on celebrating holidays because his family never did. He doesn't even like to celebrate his birthday, but he does since we've been together because our birthday's are a week apart. I always get him stuff but he feels weird buying me stuff because I just buy whatever I want. I told him he didn't have to get me anything but when the time comes he can put all that energy into an engagement ring haha. Plus I get to stay home with the baby when it's time even though I have the potential to make more money than he can and that's a priceless gift to me. 😊

maybe his family's religion? my uncle is like that big its because of a religion thing him and his wife got going on
@babydovesmommy, glad I'm not the only one lol @tahtahme I don't think it makes sense to make out own holidays or to celebrate different days . he doesn't think there should be holidays he thinks everyday is the same
So when he says holidays don't meant something, mention that you need to have him show affection some other time of the year. Or maybe make up your own holidays?
@analisa_ag, yes maam I know. that's why I try to get him to just give me money and buy myself something lol. he gets the credit and then he enjoys things I get him. it's just one of those things you gotta fight for.

my bf of 3 years is exactly like that..he has never got me anything for valentine's. he got me flowers once for our 1st year anniversary..best gifts I've got is he got me tires for my car when I turned 20 and an Xbox 360 for Christmas one year that I begged for..
right like it's not just me... he always has been that way he's not a romantic like that he doesn't like to be affectionate in that way just when it's me and him at home or in the car wich I understand not everyone's the same but a relationship is a take and give not take take take u know?
