if you're married then it shouldn't matter who is working and who isnt. it should be both of yours, always, or things like this are going to happen. you shouldn't have to ask him for money, and if the situation were flipped he shouldn't have to ask you. expensive purchases should be agreed upon together always, so there is never any fighting over money. money is the leading cause of divorce, for good reason, so you guys need to work out a better system that works for both of you and not just one. and you need to say something now before it's too late and he has wasted every dime.

It depends to me. My husband got an insurance check and spent it on him. Now at first I was a tad bit salty but then I thought about it. He always puts me first. He always buys me things. He more than deserved to do something nice for himself. Now if he didn't do those things I would be pissed.

I would've held on to the receipt and then when he was working or asleep take it back and refund it and then get something for me and the baby and say nothing about it....because just because he's the only one working doesn't mean you can't get things either
