Okay ladies, what's the mucus plug look like? How soon did you go into labor after losing it? FTM

It literally looked like mucas for me. I've been losing it overtime instead of all at once but lost more here recently.

It looks like a bloody booger. With my daughter I was already in labor but admitted to the hospital once my plug fall out. They called it the bloody show with her but with this pregnancy which is my second it's been coming out in chunks and looks like a rubber booger with a tint of pink blood and I'm only dilated at 2cm barely 👎 just depends on your body. it can have a bloody tint or be completly clear. you can lose it way before labor and in small pieces. but it forms back. it doesn't trigger labor. I lost mine weeks before in little pieces that were clear. (:

It's gross but your best bet is to Google mucus plug and bloody show. they are different and a mucus plug grows back but bloody show typically means labor is near

bloody mucus for me. I went in to labor the night I lost it. but you can go weeks or days before labor. It can even grow back

it happened last night around 3am and there wasn't blood it just looked like snot but it was coming out of my vag. I was like well this is new.. I've been cramping off and on along with my tummy feeling like its tightening. @candisleigh16 @chhaya @klanc919 @nessag89 @mommyandbabyk

I've heard of woman losing it in the first trimester and it growing back. I wouldn't completely worry about labor unless it's bloody. I was actually talking this morning to my nurse because I think I'm losing mine and she said it doesn't mean labor. She has checked all of me up and down and sent off tests and I show no signs of labor anywhere in the next two weeks at least.

is it consistent? if you feel like you need to go in , go! don't wait for far along are you?

But yes I agree with @candisleigh16 if you think you need to go in I would!! Just because it does not always mean labor doesn't mean that it doesn't now for you! It could mean baby is on her way😁

@sealion, @candisleigh16 I've been in preterm labor 3 times already since 28 weeks and my Dr said if I go into labor since I hit 37 weeks they wont stop it. I'm 37w3d but measuring 3 days ahead. I called the on call nurse and she said "it could be a yeast infection, blah blah blah" I'm like no bro snot looking stuff should not be coming out of my vag...

See that's what I was telling my nurse literally just a bit ago.. She said the same thing as well!!! I haven't had any preterm labor problems and I'm also a FTM but mine is like that too and she said keep an eye on it because it could be a yeast infection starting. So I completely understand hearing that!!

@sealion, with my entire pregnancy its been infection after infection after infection and I'm so done. Like this isn't normal!!

Well integris always tells me I have infections but my dr says they are liars. He says my urine is too clean for them to be giving me meds. So I was taken off the medicine and I am about three weeks behind you according to your profile!

yeah I stopped taking the medicine that they kept giving me along with the medicine that's supposed to help control contractions.@sealion,
