I had an spinal epidural with my son during a c-section, but I never had a regular epidural my first time going into labor

I was induced at 37 weeks with my first child due to high blood pressure. I tried natural but after 8 hours of labor my body couldn't take it anymore. I ended up getting an epidural and it helped me to relax and let my body due what it is suppose to. my labor was 36 hours and I plan on doing an epidural with this next one. I felt as if I could enjoy the labor better and had no issues after.

I was induced and had an epidural! I started pitocin at 6 am and had my son that night at 11:30. honestly it wasn't that bad the epidural felt like a pinch and my back never hurt after plus the good thing about being induced is they are constantly telling u what's happening and check on u to make sure things are going well which made me feel like they were there to actually help me through the experience!

I heard being induced tends to hurt alot. I had an epidural with my son an I didn't have any problems with it the guy who did it was awesome an hit it spot on. I want to try natural this time just because to say I did it. but we will see how bad my pain gets it was pretty bad the last time. I am having my 2nd in April. I am opting for a natural birth bc I had one with my first too (: i am against anything that isn't natural to my body when it comes to delicery. bc you're getting induced you may end up getting an epidural bc your body may not be ready for baby to come out yet and so the pitocin is kind of helping Rush the process of your bodies readiness. I hope that makes sense. sometimes an induction is necessary though. I'd ask your Dr if there are other ways of an induction if you're worried about problems.. may he or she can break your water if baby is far enough down and massage your cervix to help dilation. @haybug0813

you can have back pain before your pregnant . during your pregnancy and after . I had back pain before my pregnancy and during and same thing after . it had nothing to do with the epidural . it's all about what u want . remember you can decide once you start feeling this contractions . I tried to take the pain but I couldn't so I got the epidural .

Oh and epidural was with my first child and natural was second

I didn't have one with my first mostly cause I couldn't timing wise. they did give me medicine thru the iv which helped me sleep and forget most of the pain. I still felt every thing during his birth and post birth but because I had thst medicine it relaxed me a lot. I plan to do the same thing with this baby. I just absolutely refuse an epidural

I had terrible pains after my epidural was removed. Couldn't move my head all the way down because they hit a nerve. Went completely natural with my son (2nd baby) and it was AMAZING. I went through labor really fast so even though it was painful as hell it didn't last long at all
