...anyone else get their tax money in their bank, but its not the full amt you are expecting? Like, not even close? Are they sending it in batches or something?? My husband just said he got a small amount but not at all what we are supposed to get

sometimes if its a large amount the bank will only release it bit by bit until it is all approved

State and federal go in at different times. Maybe he got one and not the other yet

I had that happen once with my Federal return and I called and found out that they took part of my refund and applied it to outstanding student loans. Apparently they're allowed to take your refund and apply it elsewhere. I was not happy! @sarahemccormick

usually banks will only take a set amount per day in order to clear it, if it was sent direct deposit or sent in a check and deposited, the banks will clear full amounts but it takes a few days

@rebcamdot, I think thats exactly what happened.....my husband is absolutely furious right now because I do have outstanding student loans....I feel terrible 😢

Omg 😭😭😭😭 I just found out the US Dept of Edu took $3,975 in back payments on my student loan....my husband is really gonna kill me. ..this is gonna be a very very bad night

The Us dept of Ed took my whole entire federal last year ($4000). I was heartbroken! I feel your pain mama :(
