Need opinions! So I'm looking into birth control for as soon as I have Emery. Iv been seeing a lot of good reports about the depo-shot. Any experiences? Recommendations? I wanna have something while Brest feeding and the shot doesn't have estrogen in it so I know it would be a safe choice.
I had the paraguard. it was the only one I saw fit because it's non-hormonal other than tubal ligation and I wasn't doing that. I had paraguard in for 6 years and took it out when we were ready.
I loved depo. I didn't have a period and didn't get pregnant. was on it for one year, made me gain a lil weight.
@marinesrodeo9394, no you will gain alot of weight and it will start to take calcium away from your bones your teeth and skin can also start to turn yellow I used it for two years ...
i was on depo for 6+ years and got pregnant soon as i came off it so ig its different for each person...i didnt really have a period at all or if i had something it was a lil spotting for like a hour then i was good
I've heard all bad stuff about depo. But I had the mirena and breastfed with my son. It's zero maintenance, which was a big plus for me. (: hopefully you find the right one for you!
I seriously hate the depo. I had regular periods and everything but it made me gain so much weight it was horrible and the longer i had it it made me feel so horrible i had to drag myself out of bed because i didnt even have energy to do anything. It was really horrible for me. But to some people its different, if you want to donit try it put it might not do anything to you but have another option ready if it doesnt go how you want to
I got pregnant on the depo shot with this baby. I was on it for almost 2 years.
I had the depo shot and was on it for two years and got pregnant while on it. it's the worst thing you can do to yourself. look up sleeping giant wake up...
I was on depo for 2 years, worst thing I ever did to my body! Made me gain weight and ur not supposed to be on it for more than 2 years cus it causes bone decreasing an lowers ur chance to ever have a baby again. I'll be going onto the patch after I have my baby.
I got pregnant once but it wasn't viable. that was because I had gone out of town and forgot my pills at home. They gave it to me right after I had my daughter and I breastfed her. Didnt affect my milk production or her.
I was on the depo shot for 3 years and liked it okay. The only problem I had was that I'm prone to headaches and it made it worse but I think that's most birth control. Also, once you stop, it takes around a year to two years to get pregnant again.
I was on depo for three years dont get me wrong it was a good birth control but I started having symptoms of passing out and that's when I found out. I was pregnant 28th my first child @marinesrodeo9394
But while on it you never got pregnant? @bryndon.or.skylar0724 and it was safe during Brest feeding?
once a day and it was 92%. didn't take me long after I stopped taking it to get pregnant with this one. (I had been on it for 4 years)
I got the implant in my arm & when I went to get it removed they "couldn't find it" & I had to have surgery to get it taken out
Did you have to take it 3x a day? How effective was it? @bryndon.or.skylar0724
ortho micro-nor is what they put me on after I had my daughter. it's a pill. and has no estrogen in it.
When did you start it and how long had you been on it? @nathansmommy2
Any of you ladies been on the depo shot and not have a period?
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
I honestly wish I was a nurse already...so I can know more about what they put in shots...I honestly think deep down they put scandalous crap in vaccines..but I have no proof to back my theories up...so I have to make sure my son gets shots... he feels so sick after them tho... :( my poor baby. I had to give him 3 doses of Tylenol today.
Anyone else have to get the rhogam shot at 28weeks ? This will be my second time and I am dreading it because it was so painful the first time. Can they do it without poking the belly now?
I was on the depo-shot years ago and not only did I gain a lot of weight but I also almost bled to death. I started my cycle and two weeks later was still bleeding very heavy and it put me in the hospital. not only did they have to give me something to stop the bleeding but had to give me two pints of blood.
