Have any of you mom's experienced EXTREME itching during pregnancy? I don't know what is wrong with me, it started right before I found out I was pregnant, I do itch during the day but when I lay down at night I cannot stop scratching, my whole body just itches so so so bad, I have to take benadryl every night, and I don't have any kind of rash and it's not dry skin, just the extreme itching. Any advice is appreciated!

I had that shortly after I found out. The midwives told me it's called PUPPS or something like that. Said it's kind of like an allergic reaction to pregnancy. Benedryl was the only thing they said i could do for itching. It ended up going away (although I'm worried it'll come back, they said that it usually affects those in late pregnancy). I know they have prescriptions for it, but I'm not sure what. Hopefully they can sort it out for you, cause I know how horrible it is. I was breaking the skin scratching myself. 😖

I have an appointment tomorrow and I was going to ask her about it, it's just killing me, I'm getting no sleep because of it, it gets so bad it actually wakes me up at night, I have dug little holes in my arms and legs from scratching in my sleep :(
Yesss. My whole body itches. The baby is taking the majority of your nutrients which can leave your hair and skin very dry. My legs especially itch. It's so annoying.
Me, it felt like I rolled around in poison ivy. My doctor gave me a prescription to help me. Ask your doctor though, mine took blood work to make sure everything is okay.
If it was just my boobs or stomach I would understand, but it's everywhere and I just don't understand
