So last night I took castor oil around 10:30 pm and I got nothing not even tummy cramps , it felt like normal no nothing. Ugh my life lol
it's absolutely ridiculous that these girls truly believe it's going to kill your baby.. I'm mind blown
Oh goodness @jojojujuandscarlett it's a shame how many women will jump all over your post about this.. my midwife said I could d it and it didnt work last weekend lol. I took the recommended dose like your supposed to 2 tablespoons. Some people just have no idea what the hell they are talking about!
That's strange the doctors are still recommending it with the possibility of it causing problems :/ I'm glad everything is okay though and hope you safely go into labor. I have heard many stories of still births from the use of castor oil. But sometimes it does work. I wouldn't say that "it USUALLY doesn't happen" is a very good argument to risk it though. @brianna6987 Best wishes.
I'm taking some this weekend plus walking...every female in my family took it with no problem ...
I took castro oil my last pregnancy and it worked n like 10 hours I did 3 table spoons and mixed it with orange juice
I've only heard 2 stories of it hurting a baby and that because the mommy wasn't completely full term. Don't worry I'm sure your baby is fine. Just keep yourself hydrated and walk walk walk! Try to walk that baby out! Monday is my due date so I'm hoping were in labor the same time. :) good luck! @jojojujuandscarlett
@jojojujuandscarlett that's what i said..i was telling her thats what you were saying.
Thanks @brianna6987 I had never heard of it killing babies or anything , I'm 39 weeks and my doc said baby is over 9 pounds and they will have to induce me if I don't go before Monday so she told me to try a certain amount with orange juice to help things get going but I never knew it was going to hurt my baby
Love the judgement in this group. If you do your research it's really not dangerous UNLESS your to early. But just jumping up and saying she wants to kill her baby isn't right! She was just simply doing what her doctor told her and I'm pretty sure NONE of us are doctors. If you were concerned for her baby how about trying to inform her on what you've heard instead of just straight attacking her!
I've done some research on it and all I found out was that it could cause diarrhea and tummy cramps and to only take as much as doctor says so you don't put stress on the baby I've never heard it could kill a baby
here we go with the know it alls *rolls eyes* if your doctor told you take it then its perfectly safe.
My nurse at my hospital is pregnant herself and she's used castor oil. She said it didn't do nothing for you. And the only way it can hurt the baby is if it gets to him/her and it makes her poop and she inhales it. Which usually doesn't happen. If your full term some doctors even give you permission to use it. Like my doctor gave me permission. I haven't tho because I have a really weak stomach and I would of definitely thrown up. But it can cause extreme dehydration. And diarrhea. So please keep yourself hydrated.
Castor oil isn't the same for everyone! I've seen ONE thing about a woman using it and then losing her baby! There's a certain amount to take. She could have took too much or anything, no one really knows!!
Doctor told me too that's why I did it but it didn't even work so I'm done with that icky crap lol
Thanks @blessedmamaofboys I trust my doctor completely and I did a lot of research myself to weigh the pros and cons of using it but I never read it could kill your unborn baby , the worst I heard was the baby could ingest its poop or if you took to much it could cause to many cramps and stress the baby out but that usually that happened when they took to much and were way too early , not that I'm saying something bad couldn't happen but that's the case with most things including primrose oil. Crap I knew a girl who said she went into preterm labor because she ate too much fresh pineapple. I don't know if that's true or not but I know that if my doctor said I was okay to do it I'm going to believe her and I was fine , everyone is different but I'm not going to be accused of " TRYING TO KILL MY BABY" for doing what my doctor said. It just makes me feel like I'm being a bad mom for trusting my doctor. It's sad that other moms want to just bully other moms they don't agree with and make me second guess my doctor and myself , I'm supposed to be on here for support not judgment
