Tuesday my doctor wants to do a membrane sweep, I've done some research on it and I'm pretty nervous. Has anyone had one before? Was it painful? and how long afterwards did you go into labor?

I've been walking about 3 miles a day since Monday so I'm hoping that will help. I'm hoping I'll just go into labor before I have it done lol

it's just one way they use to try and induce labor

Taking her fingers and placing them all the way up to your cervix and scrapping

it's basically where your doctor will use her finger to irritate the uterus while detaching the amniotic sac from the uterus. Irritating it is supposed to help bring on contractions which will help you dilate, which brings on labor
