LONG POST WARNING:
I think I am the only pregnant woman that doesn't want a shower at all. We are having a gender reveal party for our closest people and family but that's it. 1) I'm doing cloth diapers and wipes so I don't need all that. 2) I am super picky about what I want for my baby. 3) It's not my first rodeo. 4) Daddy and I want to pick out our furniture together. and 5) I don't have the space for tons of stuff I won't use or need. Not sure what to do because everyone is getting ticked off at me.
I have given them the option to do a dinner sign up for the first 2 weeks so they can help me out with 5 kids at home basically alone (hubby works swing shifts). The shower isn't for me anyways. This way they can visit and gift the baby when he/she is here.
I have also thought about a strict amazon registry for those (who are adamant on gifts) to buy things I really want.

I love the dinner idea you have. I also think the Amazon one is really great as well! Gives you much more variety to choose from :)

everyone is different not everyone likes the 'usual' 'traditional' things that are done for babies for instance my SIL already asked if we were going to present the baby to god 1. the baby isn't even born yet 2. we have complete different thoughts on things and she was already pressuring him to let her know if it was or was not going to be done because she wants to do the dress for the baby from scratch like I really do appreciate it what you're doing but maybe I might not like the dress you're doing for her or things will be done differently ppl will always talk and want to be a part of baby's life at their convenience I just let them talk don't worry about it girl sorry for long comment

I would! I certainly don't think it will hurt :) my family was VERY adamant in buying things for our gender reveal when they knew I'd be having 3 showers, so I think since you won't be having a shower, it would be good to have that Amazon registry!

Thanks ladies. I'm still trying to figure out what I really want to do. The amazon registry will help with family and friends far away.

first of all Lmfao at myself.cause got almost the whole time reading it I was thinking you didn't wanna have a shower like getting in the bath tub type shower baaahahaha and second girl it's your kid you do it how you wanna do it if ppl are getting mad at u bump them they're not the one raising this baby they should respect your wishes and if there's things on Amazon then let them get that stuff for you. :) besides dinner idea is good who doesn't love food haha
