Im so grateful i took make up for going home . Nothing heavy just a bit of mascara and foundation so i didnt look as dead as i did after getting zero sleep in the hosp. Definately take loads of black granny pants and pads . Lip balm was a life saver for me too. I dont know why but my feet felt like ice blocks so fluffy socks are a good idea too xx
I recommend you take lip balm, hair bobbles and clips and isotonic drinks, I got so dehydrated in full blown labour, I couldn't even sip water without throwing it back up (sounds worse than it is) so definitely get yourself hydrated.. Lip balm to help if you do get dehydrated or sore lips.. Hair bobbles and clips as nothing would be more annoying than having to push hair from your face all the time when trying to push.. Plenty of big black granny pant! I got a couple of packs from primark I'm normally a size 8-10 so I bought size 14-16 so once I'd given birth I could whack them over my belly for comfort plus you're bleeding after birth so you may need to change then more often if you leak through a pad.. Lots and lots of pads you'll be bleeding for a few weeks after birth so stock up! Baggy clothes because who is gunna have the energy to want to look glamorous after hours of labour and birth etc lol fluffy socks because comfort is huge when you feel disgusting lol and finally I've written that and made it all sound awful but I promise it isn't as bad as it looks written down lol.. Xx
