I was wondering if me and my fiancée get married on the 13th if they would date it for the 14th due to it being a Sunday. We really wanted to get married on Valentine's Day. 🤔🤔🤔🤔
If you submit it on Friday your marriage date will be Friday. Because they cannot post date it, if that makes sense id take it home and sign it Sunday and take it back Monday.
Ok, so if I'm understand this correctly, I can go go on Friday apply for the license and get the papers the same day. Sign them and put the date that I want which is the 14th . Pay money and we will be married ? @mrsdoyle @brittanycheri
No, in Colorado you have to apply for the license before you get it, but you can get it same day (if it's not to busy). Both people have to be present with IDs. And money for license... No more than $50... My hubby thinks it was $35 or $45.
In the state of Colorado you don't need to have a witness or a pastor/minister or anyone marry you. What we did was, We filled out the application, the clerk wrote out our license handed it back to us and we just signed the paper and handed it back to the clerk and she put everything in the system and a could days later we got our official marriage license back. But essentially yes, just sign the papers on Sunday and then you submit it with that date on there. My friend had her brothers best friend officiate their wedding. But in the state of Colorado you don't need anyone to officiate it.
You know you can marry yourselves right?! Take the license and sign it on the 14th that will be your marriage date. We chose the 11th because we didn't want to have a holiday that everyone is celebrating for our anniversary. It's not the day you say I do (but in gods eyes maybe) but the date that it's signed.
