but pits are the best dogs ever and will protect you and baby like they birthed you both themselves! they are loyal and loving and playful and oh so much fun. plus puppy and baby will be bff's. don't kill him (your hubby) lol

It will be easier to train the dog now than when the baby comes tho. I understand your side but it honestly will be easier and that way you don't have to worry about the puppy around the baby. :) @santanarose_ I wanna see a photo I'm curious what the puppy looks like.

yeah they never listen lol. I had to give my fur baby up for adoption cause he couldn't come to our new apartment and I want another dog so bad. I want to wait til my babies are a little older first though so I understand

I got a puppy before my baby is born so I can train her before hand, I got a German Shepard though, but I heard pitts are the'best with children!

I'm undecided. I saw a Brendal yesterday and he was beautiful and so playful and loving and he was up for adoption.. $75 I almost bought him but my SO would have shot me. Lol We don't wanna get her a dog till she is 1-2 and he said no more animals until we move in march @santanarose_

We just adopted a 5mo old pit from a rescue. I agree too it'll be easier to train them now then after baby comes. Every day I play baby crying and he's slowly starting to not be phased by it. Start at the lowest sound and just do it for a minute or two. And go up each day in sound.

i have a 4 month old German Shepard who is adorable...but so hard to deal with. Hope to have him all trained up by the time the new baby arrives....i already have a one year old....and they get along great.
