Pretty much. nurse him till he seems content, when he starts fussing and acting hungry again, nurse again. be sure to switch sides so he's nursing on each side equally.

I know it sucks, but you nurse him again. I've spent many night nursing my daughter's every 15-20 minutes, the only sleep I got was while nursing.

but if you just keep nursing every time he gives you those cues, your body will catch up and make more milk, so he will last longer and longer between feedings.

pumping is also not an accurate representation of how much milk your baby gets each feeding. a pump doesn't stimulate milk like a baby nursing. so you may only get 15 ml but your baby actually gets like, 30 or 50 ml. but like I said, your baby's belly is literally the size of a cherry right now so even just 15ml is all they need.

when breastfeeding you'll find yourself second guessing everything and worrying about everything. if you stick to it you'll realize that in the end, you just need to calm down, stop over thinking everything and not be as paranoid. your body and your baby know what they're doing. trust them both, and follow their cues and everything will be fine :)

I only gave him formula cuz he was crying still hungry, I wasn't replacing it..so I wouldn't necessarily call it supplementing I would say adding it on with my breast...I do pump in between my feedings but I only get about 15ml...I seriously do everything everyone says and I'm still not getting enough... but it could be too early still...I'll wait another week. @crunchymomma

if you don't feel comfortable stopping formula completely to start with, for every bottle you give your baby, pump 2 times to bring your supply up.

drink lots of water, pump between feedings, try "mothers milk" tea you can buy it at walmart, and eat real oatmeal. (steel cut oats, not instant oatmeal) and honestly, stop supplementing with formula. giving a bottle for a feeding is screwing up your nursing schedule do the baby is skipping 2 feedings for every bottle of formula.

you'll feel like your baby is glued to your boobs the first day or two, but that's the point.

girl I do nurse on demand and I don't produce enough for him so I had to supplement. 😔 he drinks from both boobs and drinks about 30ml in formula... my boobs don't feed him every feeding either 😒 @crunchymomma

you'll produce more when your baby needs more really. the more your baby nurses the more milk you'll make. right now your LO nurses every time they're hungry, and they have a tiny belly, like the size of a cherry. so they don't need much.

give it about a week and a half, nurse on demand every time, and you'll make more than enough milk :)
