Why do people idolize Marilyn Monroe.....to me I have so many reasons she shouldn't be...

I don't idolize her but I do like the fact she wasn't afraid to show her body.

@mrsdoyle, she's done a lot of things people seem to over look..because she was "pretty"...I've just never understood why everyone looks over all that for her but not others...

She wasn't fat, but in today's society she doesn't have the "ideal" body that every girl seems to think you have to have, and I guess when a celebrity isn't what society deems as "beautiful," it helps more girls feel confident. I personally see nothing wrong with it, most people know her from quotes or certain decorative items, they don't know all her background. They just know she's popular.

@their.bomb.ass.mom, Monroe had the following measurements; 35-22-35. The average measurement of today's models are 34-22-34. I just don't feel the need for teens to idolize a women who done all the bad things she done and half the quotes used with her picture are not even her quotes. i just feel there are such better people for teens to idolize.
