Small little rant... So im over due, and worried about my little one making an arrival on a certain date... on feb 11th, its my boyfriends brothers birthday... his brother passed away 2 years ago and his family is still very emotional about it (which I completely understand). Its also my boyfriends and I's one year anniversary. I want my little girl to have her own special day... 😕 My boyfriends mom always carries her emotions on her sleeve and always mentions about her sons birthday like its more important than the birth of her grandchild. I dont know if im over reacting... I dont want her to be bringing everyone down at the hospital about the death, while we are trying to celebrate a new life... I know I probably sound snotty and rude, but its just what im feeling...

That's not right, I understand it being like something that may have happened a few months ago or a year ago but if she's doing that, that's just not necessary. Eventually you do have to just live your life with happiness and it seems like she just keeps on reminiscing on when he passed. Have you talked to you boyfriend about it being an issue at the hospital?
Im just hoping she doesnt keep bringing it up.. for example, a few months ago was my boyfriends niece's FIRST band concert (shes only 9), and it was on the date of when her son died... instead of bringing flowers or anything to her grand daughter, she brought pictures of her son to the show, and made everyone cry... I completely understand she lost a child and i could NEVER imagine losing my little girl, but I do believe there are times you have to set aside emotions... @kcamps
You don't sound rude one bit, I'm sure it's not easy for her though losing a child. But the minute you go into labor it shouldn't be about mourning the loss it should be celebrating a new family member like you said. It's something very happy that happens and should be excited about
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?

I dont think it sound bad at all. My littles one's great-grandmas birthday is April 29, 7 days before her expected due date... And May 10th, 4 days after her due date was the day her great-grandma died exactly 1 year ago.. So my father is extremely emotional about it too. And my family gushes about how its a sign. And could be my grandma coming back.. And i find it very rude to keep bringing it up and upsetting my father.. May is the only month no one on my side of the family has birthdays. So i love it. But i see where you are with its suppose to be a happy time and not about remembering a horrible time.. @preggimama
