Been having the worst time post partum. Infection, fevers, chills, aches, mastitis in both breasts, thrush in both my mouth and on my nipples, and my stitches are poking me in the urethra. And poor little Ramona has a very bad upper lip tie, probably on both lips and a possible posterior tongue tie so it's gonna cost me $700+ to get it all revised and my babies mouth has to be cut with a laser. 😭 her ties are causing other issues like our thrush and possible silent reflex. Now she has a diaper rash, which is probably yeast as well. She was also jaundice and that had me super stressed but her last bilirubin results came back better so hopefully it's gone or drastically better. She sleeps awesome during the day time when I'm not sleeping next to her but at night she'll only sleep if she's laying on my chest or in my arm, so I think I'm gonna have to stop co sleeping ( we did the sidecar crib) for a few weeks so I can get some sleep. She smells mommy and wants to be held. She cluster feeds like crazy due to her ties and my nipples are scabbed, cracked, compression lined, blanched, and they occasionally bleed! She screams bloody murder almost instantly if she wants the boob. She only gives proper "hunger" cues if she's content and wants to comfort nurse/cuddle. This is honestly the hardest thing I've ever done in my life. Labor was easy compared to this first week of her life (and my labor was fucked up.) I wouldn't trade this for the world but FUCK! Nobody warns you about this!! They just tell you to get sleep and don't overwork yourself. Nothing about all of these things that may happen, or that every bad thing can happen at once!!!
