Depends on whats being done. I live with parents so my kids love being downstairs playing the video game with my dad and love cartoons. Everything doesn't deserve a spanking but some things in my opinion do. Honestly I got my ass whooped for everything lol. But as far as my kids, it could be a spanking, no video games, no cartoons, or no going downstairs with paw paw. They know the differences cause they always know the right punishment when they ask about it after getting in trouble. So sometimes I take away the game for a day, or at night before bed we won't watch cartoons, or if it's something just out the way they get a spanking. but they know. And as far as acting out in public it just took 2 times in 2 different places to show them I'll spank them where ever we are no matter who's watching.. once they realized I wasn't afraid to discipline them that did it, and I think that's honestly what's scares them...no place is a safe place for bad behavior in my book and they know that lol. @adevlin2

usually the look is the warning.. from mom.. if she doesn't get right then it's usually a swift swat to the behind.. nothing all out beating my child lol.. she's extremely sensitive natured so I have never had to use any type of forceful discipline.. we have tried time outs but they reach an age where they are smart and clever.. the only time I've ever "spanked" her was when she threw the spaghetti sauce jar on the floor in the store bc I told her no. @adevlin2
