Anyone else got any younger siblings that are jealous at the fact there is going to be a new baby?…
Anyone else got any younger siblings that are jealous at the fact there is going to be a new baby? My sister is 18 and is so stroppy with me and my mum and dad. My dad asked her to sit in the corner of the couch (it's a corner group) to make it easier for me to sit down seeing as I'm pregnant and now pretty big. And she stormed out slamming doors! She was the same at the beginning of my pregnancy too, plus she is one of my birthing partners!!! I don't think I'm going to feel comfortable with her in the room if this is how she is going to be 😢😢

No but my 32 year old SIL is like that. It's very embarrassing. She threw away some expensive baby clothes we had bought that OH left in her car and said 'we didn't deserve them'. She whined about me being pregnant when she found out because the new baby will 'take all MILs attention away from her' (she's the golden child) and told OH's entire family without our permission in a very nasty way. Safe to say we don't speak to her anymore😂 @beccastirlingx x

mine is 19 and she keeps saying she won't be the youngest anymore etc.. however she also spoils our little one (already) i think it might be hard for them to get over that.. but don't forget why you made her your birthing partner. she just has to get through this and I bet you when she meets your little one she will just be in love xx

It's just so hard! Because we've had a tough few years, we lost 2 close family members and she moved out to my dads so this should be something to look forward to but she's making it so hard! @felicjuh xx

I had this with my older sister( she is 27) I'm 20. She was very jealous...wanted me to have an abortion and wouldn't talk to me etc. Now my baby is here..she adores her and doesn't want to be away from her. xx

@beccastirlingx Yeah, but is kinda annoying that she wants to hold her all the time etc..I kinda resent her for not supporting me when I needed her the most...she was always telling me I was doing something wrong...and that I wouldn't know how to be a mother...I deffo proved her wrong...she is proud of me she says. Xx

Yeah, I suppose she would say that because she's older! And you have every right to feel the way you do! It's always the same though, don't support you during the hardest time (pregnancy) but want to be a part of the amazing and beautiful outcome! Atleast you proved her wrong and have done a great job! You don't need a stroppy teen in with you if I'm brutal with you. You don't need stressing out when in labour! My mum and nan came into my suite when I was in labour and both of them and my partner were all talking really loudly on top of each other cause they were so excited.. I ended up screaming at them all.. Thankfully they left about an hour later so it was just me and my OH.. Not saying she won't be a good birthing partner cause of course I don't know her but definitely think about what you're gunna need in that room because you'll need plenty of support, you're gunna be the centre of attention, everyone looking after you xx

I would have had my mum and my gran, but my gran passed away not too long ago! That's why we all need her support! She's just being selfish tbh! @emmajo xx

Awe I know how you feel my nan passed away when my son was 12 weeks.. I never wanted my mum there as we don't get on (she blocked me when my nan died and hasn't spoken to me since).. Maybe you should sit her down and explain to her how you feel and that she's now an adult and you need her in that room to support you etc? Xxx

My husband was a perfect birthing partner, I wouldn't like my mom or sister to be around... He was nice and joking with me all the time, no freaking out at all. That's what works best - stable calm people around. And my sister... I think she might be jealous too. I don't like to think that about people, but it looks like it... We don't talk for over 6 months and she's ready to keep it up just to send me a message... I don't know what message it is but she thinks it's worth stopping all communication with her nephew. She's 22 and I'm 26. She doesn't like me for being strong and encouraging her to be strong as well... She loves weeping and moaning about life. Well, I had enough of this and I simply don't call her too. I don't need this relationship in its old way.

I'm the same as @winterbaby95 my sisters the same age as her sister, I'm just a different age (15) she was very jealous throughout my pregnancy but now he's here she wants to mother him, very annoying but I don't see her often as she lives 2 1/2 hours away. She was so jealous that she even got my mum to facetime her while I was in labour! Fair to say me and my boyfriend weren't too happy about that! I would definitely try and talk to her about it xx

He helped me soo much...as I had a tough delivery and couldn't move much..he helped our daughter to latch on etc Xx
