I hate being treated like a bloody taxi, if we're going out of course I'm going to drive but I don't want to stay out as late as everyone else. Drunk rowdy people are annoying when you're sober, it's hubs cousins birthday Saturday and we're going to a restaurant, I've been told today we are taking two from his Aunty's house (our house is closer to the restaurant. massive detour) when I questioned this I was told 'we' are going to pre-drinks at his Aunties, 'we' aren't going to pre-drinks, I'm watching everyone get pissed and loud before I taxi them halfway accros the fucking city. while people tell me how fat I'm getting, aggressively tell me what sex my baby is or worse try to touch me. His sister says she'll be the favourite Aunty, she's so fucking horrible to me it's untrue, and has only taken a vague interest in me now I'm pregnant. His cousins are so glamorous and they'll both look beautiful, u have about three outfits that fit none of which are for going out. I've called my sister in tears and now I can't stop crying.

Just think after you have baby you won't be doing taxi run for anyone cause you have little person who is going to need you more and if that was me I'd tell them to sod off and get there own way there and your OH should be supporting you x

@nicolespellman92, I wish he'd said something it doesn't help that his side of the family are always bloody getting together to celebrate anything and everyone is expected to attend. They'll all be seeing his cousin tomorrow as it's her actual birthday, glad I've got sewing class so I can't go. The problem is on Saturday he'll probably have a few drinks and then want to stay out later. I'm going to be stressing about this all week. I've noticed my sister has got so much more direct after having a baby, I hope I get some of that, so I can tell them to sod off without feeling guilty.

@mummywarwick, you shouldn't feel guilty your pregnant and if he want to stay out late let him but tell him to make his own way home or stay at his family house.... you will get to the point where you will dislike your OH and I know you wouldn't want to get to that but he seems like his acting like a child when with his family

@nicolespellman92, his family can do no wrong in his eyes and although I like them I don't trust them. Yeah I think I will have to say I'm leaving now, stay out if you want to. I'm absolutely not taking anyone home, I'm trying to be so careful with money as I work for a charity I'll only get statutory maternity pay, I can't afford the petrol. if I don't think I'm being listened to my last resort is making a scene and then blaming the hormones..

@mummywarwick, thats understandable that your trying to be careful about money and he should be helping with that instead his working against you and you shouldn't make a scene cause that will make you feel silly if he isn't going to listen then maybe he should move back home until he can grown and act like a adult... Iv done that a couple of times to my oh he soon learnt that I'm not messing about he now listens to what I say....

It's a sad situation. I'm very happy to have a completely sober family and mostly sober friends who don't really drink around me. But I can imagine how terrible it can be when this is happening to people around you.
But I also think you have every right to simply stay at home. Why go if all they do is drink and make you feel miserable? You have a bunch of perfect excuses, so use them :) Do everything you need to keep yourself and your baby safe and happy.
