I need your advice ladies, I work as a housekeeper at the moment and I'm 28 weeks pregnant. I was out on light duty due to my back problems. Just alone today I had to clean 15 rooms and one of them had a hot tub in it that needed to be cleaned. Now does that sound like light duty to you? I'm trying to work straight until I can't anymore but it doesn't look like I'll be able too. I walked out of working limping and I can barely move now. I don't want to hurt myself or the baby in any way. What would you ladies do, leave work early or keep working through and deal with the pain?

tough..I'd leave early though... bending like that is no good for you..they won't work with you and have someone help you with things you shouldn't be doing so you can work longer?

The bending is the worst part, I feel Tight when I get back up and when I bend to long I have to stop and hold the bottom on my belly because it hurts. The girls help when they can but I'm in my own pretty much. I'm on light duty I shouldn't be doing much now but they still give me a lot of work to do.

I would sit down with my boss and explain the situation have your doctor write you a restrictions note for your boss if need be cut back to part time the last little while.

I did sit down with her and I even got her the note already but they still overload me with work. I am pretty much part time I guess, I work four days a week and we don't know when we get out until that day when we finish our rooms. So it's hard to become part time at that point. 😔
